Disc Bound Mini Album + Secret Admirer+Waffle Flower

Hi, there!  I've got a fun mini album made with Waffle Flower's Disc Bound Dies and the new stamp set Secret Admirer.  This all about the fun things my sweet granddaughter, Louisa, has said!

I made a little box (or sturdy pocket) using one of the Disc Bound Dies as the back.  Then used a smaller size die to create the mini album.  Waffle Flower has the discs available in several different colors as single colors and sets of colors.

The first word is simply "Hi!" - which at first glance, probably doesn't seem that funny.  But... it was funny with Louisa.  She lived in Savannah when she started talking, so we walked a lot pushing her in her stroller.  She said "Hi"  to everyone on the sidewalk and would include a bark when she said "Hi" to their dogs!   My journaling talks about one time at a restaurant where she said "Hi" over and over again to the people seated around us.

Basically, all the pages are set up the same.  The great thing about the disc bound book is that I can add pages at any time.

Louisa loves to play with the old red phone that was mine when I was her age.  It looks just like the one on the front of the book.  I can't believe that I don't have a picture of Louisa playing with it.  So, I'll have to take a picture when she gets here on Thursday, so I can finish the last page!

So glad you stopped by!

Waffle Flower Harpy Birthday: Card + Video

Harpy Birthday, designed by Big Bear & Bird for Waffle Flower is cute, quirky and fun!  And yes, that is H-A-R-P-Y.  Seriously, a dog playing the harp!  Who thinks of things like that?

Today, as guest designer for Waffle Flower, I've got a fun card and a video for you.

I colored up the dog and harp with copics and created a fun heart background by creating my own stencils with heart dies and distress inks.

Here's the video:

The December 2019 release is available now from Waffle Flower.

Have a Harpy (cute, fun & quirky) day!

Waffle Flower Secret Admirer Card

Hi!  Aren't these two little mice the sweetest?  They are part of the Secret Admirer stamp set from Waffle Flower.  I'm so happy to be guest designing this week for Waffle Flower (especially when the stamp sets are so adorable)!

Of course, this little guy is giving chocolates, which is perfect.  My husband and Louisa are totally into chocolates.  I stumbled upon Louis Sherry chocolates, which are wonderful -  if a little pricey.  And the tins are so pretty.  When we finish off the chocolates, Louisa loves to play with the tins.  (That's how I justify the price:  my granddaughter loves the tins!)

I couldn't resist putting my favorite doily die in the background and that cool heart rosette front and center.  Waffle Flower's dies make the heart rosette so easy!   (If you would like to see a video on making a heart rosette without a die, you can see it HERE.)

Waffle Flower's December 2019 release is now available.

Have a lovely day!

Waffle Flower Sending Love Tag

Hi, there!  I've got a few posts this week featuring three adorable stamp sets from the Waffle Flower December 2019 release.  When I opened up the package and the stamps fell out, I was so happy that Waffle Flower asked me to be a guest designer!

What fun to create with Cassie Loizeaux's designs!

First up is this cutie pie mouse sending off her valentine (or it could be a "just because" card).  She's from the Sending Love stamp set.

I created a mailbox with the largest Dotted Tags die.  I cut it off at 3 3/4" and used a small square die to create the legs.  Then a quick slit for the envelope and voila!  - a mailbox!

I decided this sweet mouse would not be dropping her letters in just any mailbox, but a hot pink mailbox.  So Picked Raspberry ink it is!

And, of course, her dress would have to be hot pink too!

The mailbox tag is topping my go-to treat bag.  It's super easy to make.  You can see the video on how to make the treat bag HERE.  It's about 10 minutes into the video.

Waffle Flower's December release is now available and check back here tomorrow for another project featuring another adorable stamp set!

So glad you stopped  by!

Cute Little Mice

Hi, there!   It's been awhile since I posted.  I've had quite a bit to do and not had enough time to do it all.  I've delivered all my Halloween and Thanksgiving orders and am now working on all the Christmas.  My goal is to get all Christmas orders delivered before Thanksgiving.  Wish me luck!

I'm popping in to share a couple of projects with these cute little mice!  What an adorable stamp set.  These little mice are the sweetest.

I've had this curvy box die for a few years now.  I actually use it quite a bit.  It's just a fun little box.  Stampin' Up doesn't have this one anymore, but it does have an even smaller curvy box.  It is adorable, but I decided that I really didn't need it since I have this one!

Don't these cuties make you smile?

Hope you're having a lovely fall!

Fun Halloween Background + Video

Halloween!  What fond memories - from my childhood and when Lauren was little we threw the funnest Halloween parties, complete with games and trick or treating.  Last night, Lauren told me that Louisa is going to be a skunk this year.  I'll have to see if I can put together a skunk Halloween card!

These critters aren't skunks, but they are adorable!  I had a lot of fun coloring them.  The mummy rabbit is so cute!

The background on this card is really cool!  It's basic distress ink blending with a layer of microfine warm highlights glitter on top.  I've got a video showing this technique and a few tips along the way.

Here's the video:

With Lauren getting Louisa's skunk costume from Pottery Barn Kids, I don't have to make a Halloween costume this year.  I wouldn't mind making one, but I'm kind of glad that's one thing to cross off my list.  What are your Halloween plans this year?

Thank you for stopping by!

Easy Watercoloring with Zig Clean Color Brush Pens

I've walked past my Zig Clean Color brush pens a lot since the last time I used them.  Every time Ii'd think "I've got to get those out again."   Well, I finally did.

This pretty hummingbird seems like a good reason to get them out!

I still hesitated.  I'm such a novice with these pens.

But, I still did a video!  You can watch it below.

Want to see what else I did last weekend?

(Out of the blue.)  "Grandma, I want a lion's head."  Okay...  like the stuffed lion in your bedroom?

"No."  Okay...do you want to draw a lion?

"No.  I want to wear it."  Okay...a lion mask?

"Yes, Grandma!"

Lots of concentration here!  She wore her lion mask almost all day.  It was a big hit!

Here's the Easy Watercoloring video:
